  • Citywide Prom

    Celebrate a century of community by attending the Citywide Prom! This fun event will highlight the past 100 years of Eden Prairie Schools and raise funds for the Historic Gym as we look forward to what's next for this iconic community space. The Citywide Prom will take place the evening of May 18th in the Historic Gym and feature: Dress your decade attire (pull out an old formal, wear something you could have worn to your senior prom, or pick a decade and dress accordingly) Live music by Wondercure Remarks by Justice Paul Anderson and other community leaders and crowning of our prom royalty Engaging displays and celebrations of our past 100 years Opportunities to capture new memories in the photo booth Roundtrip shuttle service on SW Transit's signature trolley between the City Center (parking location) and the Historic Gym Add to the fun by purchasing a VIE (Very Important Eagle) Tent access ticket, which includes: Access to purchase beer--including the Unchaperoned Brew Fat Pants made specifically for this celebration--and wine sold by the Eden Prairie Lions Club Premium appetizers and sweets Early access to the event Commemorative gift Notes: This event is for adults only. No childcare will be available. All ages are welcome to attend Family Fun Day the evening prior on Friday, May 17th. Family Fun Day is free and open to the public. We are collecting song requests, Prom Royalty nominations, and photos from Eden Prairie proms and other dances upon registration. If you are unable to attend, but have photos to contribute or nominations for Prom Royalty, please email them to mmalone@edenpr.org. Tickets are per person. Please only register for one of the options below. The VIE Tent access option includes a prom ticket. Tickets are limited! Save your spot today. As this event is a fundraiser as well as a celebration, there are multiple price options to allow attendees to make a donation upon registering for the event. Friday Family Field Trips Join Community Education select Fridays this summer for fun, educational family field trips. These trips provide a great opportunity for the entire family to learn together! WHO‭:‬‭ ‬ Eden Prairie Schools students ages 4+ with a caregiver! Families with multiple students are welcome to join, but all youth under 18 must attend with a registered adult. Register each person (all children and caregivers) attending. WHEN‭:‬‭ ‬ Select Fridays throughout the summer, beginning June 23. Times vary based on field trip/event. WHERE‭: A variety of locations throughout the Twin Cities! Busing will be provided to and from Central Middle School (CMS). SW Prime rides are available if you are unable to get to CMS. To be determined IMPORTANT NOTES‭: If you are registered and cannot attend, but do not communicate to Community Education staff by email or phone and do not show up, your registration for upcoming field trips will automatically be moved to the waitlist. Pack a lunch or to bring money to purchase your own food. Ready to eat Every Meal food bags will be available, if needed. Participants must ride the bus to and from the event. Spots are limited, and no walk-ons will be accepted. Register early to save your spots! To protect the health and safety of participants, you may not attend if you or anyone in your immediate household is experiencing symptoms of COVID or is sick. Friday Family Field Trips are available to Eden Prairie Schools families at no cost thanks to the American Rescue Plan.
