You are your child’s first and most important teacher! Early Childhood Family Education (ECFE) classes help you be the best parent to your child.
Our Early Childhood Screening appointments are a free service and usually take about an hour to complete. If you have concerns regarding your child's development or your child is entering kindergarten in the Fall of 2023, please call 952-975-6940.
Looking to ease your 4 year old into the elementary preschool experience? Enroll your child into our Junior Preschool program! Available as a 3 or 4 day consistent schedule, students have the opportunity to enjoy a typical preschool classroom.
Little Eagles Preschool provides an innovative classroom where creativity and imagination soars! Our diverse classrooms help students discover a love for learning in an interactive, stimulating, and academically rich environment.
Secure an hour of time with Our expert Parent Educator Kathy Matthews. Kathy will customize your hour to fit your needs and topic. Rate of $35 is per hour.

FREE! Friday Family Field Trips
Join Community Education select Fridays this summer for fun, educational family field trips. These trips provide a great opportunity for the entire family to learn together!
Eden Prairie Schools students ages 4+ with a caregiver! Families with multiple students are welcome to join, but all youth under 18 must attend with a registered adult. Register each person (all children and caregivers) attending.
Select Fridays throughout the summer, beginning June 23. Times vary based on field trip/event.
A variety of locations throughout the Twin Cities! Busing will be provided to and from Central Middle School (CMS). SW Prime rides are available if you are unable to get to CMS.
If you are registered and cannot attend, but do not communicate to Community Education staff by email or phone and do not show up, your registration for upcoming field trips will automatically be moved to the waitlist.
Pack a lunch or to bring money to purchase your own food. Ready to eat Every Meal food bags will be available, if needed.
Participants must ride the bus to and from the event.
Spots are limited, and no walk-ons will be accepted. Register early to save your spots!
To protect the health and safety of participants, you may not attend if you or anyone in your immediate household is experiencing symptoms of COVID or is sick.
Friday Family Field Trips are available to Eden Prairie Schools families at no cost thanks to the American Rescue Plan. The goal of this program is to close “opportunity gaps,” so all youth can experience enriching learning activities with their families.
